In 2006, with over 55 years of experience between them, Ken Foster and his wife Maggie Rodriguez-Foster founded Commercial Insurance Brokers. Ken specializes in Workers Compensation for all businesses with an emphasis on Professional Employer Organizations and Temporary Staffing companies. He is also CIB's President and fearless leader to CIB's six employees.
Ken has been in the insurance business since 1980 when he was recruited by St. Paul Insurance as a student at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Upon graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice Ken was hired by St. Paul Insurance as a Claims Adjuster Trainee in Amarillo, Texas. In 1981 Ken transferred to the El Paso branch office of St. Paul and became Claims Manager in 1985. A few years later Ken left to create the Risk Management Department at Rogers & Belding Insurance and in 1992 he started his own consulting business. In 1998 Ken joined Timberline Insurance as a Producer and several years later he took his talents to JDW Insurance. In 2006 Ken purchased his book of business from JDW and CIB was born. Ken grew up in Omaha, Nebraska but escaped the harsh winters by becoming a permanent resident of El Paso in 1981. Ken enjoys playing basketball, which he's done competitively since moving to El Paso. Ken has two daughters; the eldest resides in Austin and works in the industry, sharing a passion for insurance just like her father. His youngest daughter lives in Jacksonville, Florida and is pursuing a law degree. |
